Terms and conditions of sale

Customers who purchase products from www.rare-tv-on-dvd.co.uk or any other online account associated with RareTVonDVD accepts the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Pricing: Our products and prices are subject to change. Up to date prices are updated and reviewed regularly.

2. Promotional terms only apply in the period stated for the promotion, unless otherwise stated.

3. We will always try our best to descript and price accurately, however, errors may occur; therefore, If errors in pricing occur before we accept your order, we will notify the customer as soon as possible and offer the option to continue your order at the revised/correct pricing or cancel the order.

4. The pricing of all goods and/or services advertised are inclusive of any applicable taxes including VAT.

5. Delivery will be via Royal Mail 1st Class and offered free to customers if the order is above the value of £35.00 and delivery is to a UK address, unless otherwise stated. 

6. Delivery is offered in the UK. We reserve the right to refuse to deliver goods overseas. If an order is placed for delivery to any address outside of the UK a flat fee of £30.00 GBP will be applied to the order at checkout. Any orders forced through the website to trick the system into checkout as a UK address when the address is NOT a UK address will be cancelled and any fees RareTVonDVD have paid on the transaction will not be reimbursed.

7. Special promotions of products or delivery prices may be withdrawn at any time without notice.

8. Availability of any of our products or services are subject to availability.

9. Any stock or availability information supplied is an estimate only.

10. For ordering through our website, you must be at least 16 years of age; or 18 years of age for products with a rating of BBFC UK 18.

11. Any email or other electronic communication from us regarding an order placed does not constitute legal acceptance by RareTVonDVD of your order.

12. All orders are subject to approval.

13. When processing your order, the information provided will be subject to credit and fraud prevention checks.

14. We offer a 7 day returns policy only on the basis that DVDs are unopened, and still intact with packaging supplied by RareTVonDVD. This is the only instance whereby returns are accepted. Used DVDs will not be accepted for a return.

15. Website information: Any goods, services or information displayed on www.rare-tv-on-dvd.co.uk should not be regarded as an offer, invitation, solicitation, advice or recommendation to buy products or services on the website.

16. No warranties or representations are made about any products other than as expressly contained on www.rare-tv-on-dvd.co.uk. However, should a mistake, error or quality issue be identified on our part, we will offer a replacement in individual circumstances.

17. To the extent permissible by law all implied terms, whether by statute or otherwise are excluded. www.rare-tv-on-dvd.co.uk liability for any injury, damage or loss, in particular consequential loss, arising from the use of goods purchased on this website, or from the transaction itself, is hereby excluded.

18. Any injury, damage or loss arising directly from the negligence of RareTVonDVD or any of its agents will be limited to a refund of the value of the goods purchased, together with any other charges paid.

19. Copyright and other relevant intellectual property rights exist on all text relating to our services and the full content of our website.

20. By purchasing any DVDs from RareTVonDVD, you agree that you have the original media by means of VHS/DVD/Digital and the copy from us is for back up purposes only.

21. We supply a service of creating a backup disc for those who do not have access to such a facility.

22. While all reasonable care is taken to protect the confidentiality of your information – RareTVonDVD cannot be held liable if (through no fault of our own), these details are intercepted by third parties. This responsibility will fall within PayPal or your bank issuer, or whoever you have used to process the transaction.

23. All personal details are handled in respect of the Data Protection Act 1998 and our own Privacy Policy.

24. By accessing www.rare-tv-on-dvd.co.uk and using our services and/or purchasing any of our products, you consent to these terms and conditions and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK court in all disputes arising out of such access.

25. These terms and conditions will not be amended, modified, varied or supplemented unless in writing and authorised.

26. RareTVonDVD reserves the right to change these conditions as and when needed, and your continued use of us will signify acceptance of any adjustment to these terms.

27. If there are any changes to our policy we will announce the amends.

28. Purchases from outside the UK:- Please note that you as the customer will be liable for any local country, state taxes, or import fees. We offer shipment to UK address at £1.99 delivery fee, or free postage over the value of goods above £35.00. If an order is placed for an address outside of the UK, your order will include a £30.00 charge.

29. Accessing the website and/or undertaking of a booking or agreement indicates your understanding, agreement to and acceptance of the Disclaimer Notice and the full terms and Conditions contained herein.

30. Your statutory Consumer Rights are not affected.

31. All footage is in the public domain. We supply on a collector to collector basis, for example,  you pay only for the time and materials to compile the content, as the content itself is supplied free. All items on the site have either been recorded from TV to DVD or in some cases TV to VHS to DVD. Although quality is of our biggest  importance, due to the various ways the content is captured, quality can vary.

32. We do not offer copies of officially released content; If what you require to purchase has had an official media release; we will not offer these titles on any of our online stores/sites and nor shall we take requests or ‘one-offs’ for these.

33. If what you are looking for has had an official media release, please direct your research to such sites as Amazon for example, and buy the title there.

34. Any show/movie requests will only be accepted an looked into and followed up with any updates if they are rare, hard to find, and not had an official media release.

35. Any requests accepted can take some time to be available.

36. RareTVonDVD will always inspect all qualities of content before availability of the product.

37. RareTVonDVD will not release any content that has had an official release.

38. RareTVonDVD custom makes titles offered in the shop on the website from start to finish for each DVD title; other than the content itself (which is unedited, but at times we will remaster and/or upscale resolution for the best quality results using expensive software) – the customisation process includes all DVD menus/chapter selections, covers, disc prints, and inserts.

This privacy statement is a statement of our commitment to privacy and our visitors/customers. This privacy statement discloses information on the data we gather. Godaddy domain uses cookies, these are stored on your local machine and are used to remember searches or settings that you may have entered and may be used to improve your browsing experience by personalizing the website. RareTVonDVD contains links to external websites, we are not responsible for the privacy practices and/or content of any 3rd party. Godaddy has several technical and organisational security measures and precautions in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of any information under our control.
